Leagues

Saltburn Bowls Club enter teams into 4 local leagues, two of which are mixed. One is only for the ladies and one for the men. Only full members are allowed to compete in these matches.. 

The four leagues are as follows

North Yorkshire Bowls League (EBA) is men only and is played by 4 rinks of 3 players on each side, a total of 12 players from each team, and the games are scheduled for Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 6:30 pm with earlier starts for August fixtures. 

Teesside Ladies League is only for the ladies and games are scheduled for Thursday afternoons starting at 1.30 p.m. This is run as a league format. The format is 3-wood Triples, a total of 6 players on each team.

Cleveland League Evening League is a mixed league.  The format is 4 rinks of 3-wood Triples over 18 ends. The games are scheduled for Tuesday and Friday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. with an earlier start of 6.15 in August.

Cleveland League Afternoon League is also a mixed league.  Games are scheduled for Monday and Wednesday afternoons starting at 2:00 pm, this is contested by two sets of 3 players, a total of 6 players on each team, each with 3 woods.

If you wish to play in any of the competitions there will be nomination forms on the club notice boards, final team selection will be made by the team captains from the players available.

Transport to away fixtures is normally by using a car pool arrangement and drivers who can provide transport will let the team captain know in advance.
